Although he was called a genius at the world's top detective training school, BLUE, Ron Kamonohashi had a fatal "flaw" that caused him to lose his detective license. After years of misfortune, his fate changes dramatically when he meets Totomaru Isshiki, also known as Toto, a member of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's First Investigative Division. Ron solves the mystery while Toto works on the investigation. As they solve one difficult case after another, they gradually become a great team.
Within BLUE, there were some people who understood Ron and kept a close eye on his actions. One of them, Principal Emmerich, says that the "Bloody Field Trip Case" that led to Ron's expulsion was orchestrated by someone. Behind the scenes was "the worst criminal family in history" which was involved in many unsolved cases — the M. Family. The head of the family is Mylo Moriarty. He sends his sibling Winter to Japan to give Ron more despair. What is the connection between Ron and Mylo... ?
