Although Subaru and his companions barely managed to come out victorious from the life and death struggle in the Watergate City of Priestella, the price of that victory was far too high: Rem, who remains asleep due to the Authority of Gluttony, Crusch, whose memories were stolen, and Julius, who has been deprived of his name. As they seek a clue to their salvation, Subaru learns of the existence of the Sage, Shaula, said to foresee all and hold all knowledge. Their next destination is the Pleiades Watchtower where the Sage resides—a tower at the very edge of the world, looking down upon the vast desert of the Augria Sand Dunes that even the strongest Sword Saint, Reinhard, was unable to conquer. Raging nature, unknown witchbeasts, and threats beyond imagination stand in their way. Alongside his companions, the journey of a boy who has risked his life, in order to reclaim everything, begins.
