I know #WebDev love their share buttons at the top of the post, but you know the one thing I consistently use 99.9% more than all of those, the copied to clipboard button. It honestly would be really nice if I could see a single button that says copy URL to clipboard at the top of posts rather than 999 share buttons I never ever use
Lichess has always been the most #accessible #chess website for #blind #screenreader users. You can play games there, analyze them, even do puzzles. What you can't do, though, is learn the absolute basics there.
The tutorials are not accessible, and this has been a problem for years from what I know.
I'm fixing that. I have the platform running locally, and already fixed the " collect the stars"-style tutorials so they work with screen readers. Once i'm happy with these changes I will submit a pull request upstream... let's hope they feel up to merging it once I'm done here. #lichess #accessibility #blindChess #webdev #openSource #tech

People are giving up too easily. Indieweb protocols are both simple and beautiful. They are for techies right now, but we have to keep pushing to make them more widely accessible.
Some of these same reasons are why I do not have pagination on my blog. less pagination, please â Imperfect https://imperfect.bearblog.dev/less-pagination-please/ #WebDev
There's a good reason why I rarely visit websites I follow via RSS, and, instead, choose to read in my RSS reader. While the rest of the #IndieWeb are today saying RSS readers are flawed because they strip out the amazing web design by default, I am here to protest and say, actually, every RSS app that does this is doing you and I a massive favor.
Your web design is certainly not worth putting up with if I dislike it the first time.
If I wanted to appreciate your web design, I wouldn't use an RSS reader.
My before morning tea snark.
Given this recent discourse, before long, the IndieWeb will turn around and say 'actually, ads are part of the human web!'
I need tea before I snark myself into an IRC chat room. :)

Bloggers and newsletter peeps, I beg you, make your RSS feeds *easier* to find by having them be links on your website, especially on mobile. I am a lazy person, so having to hit share, and then my RSS reader app is sometimes a lot of work VS just double tapping on an RSS link. Also, sometimes, my RSS reader can't find your RSS feed. I *want* to follow you, but not by email. I use email for communication. #RSS #WebDev #Newsletter
Iâm not sure if anybody orders from Jimmy Johnâs, but there website was a breeze to order from, screen reader wise. Iâm the kind of person that places a delivery order for almost a week in advance or days in advance and I would say that is an exemplary website on how to make it successfully accessible with the screen reader. Even on mobile devices, it was not painful. #WebDev #Accessibility #A11y
Thinking about launching an accessibility overlay with the most honest feature set of any on the market.
When the widget comes into focus, it just turns into the baby emoji and makes a soft whimpering noise while sobbing âPlease donât sue me.â

I know Hotlinking is frowned upon, but the hotel I went to for a journalist event, because they added Sightless Scribbles to a press list and then invited me to an event where everyone sounds like they have headsets surgically attached to their skulls was one of those Tech Bro events where they smile and grin as they say climb the gradient, makes more money in 24 hours than I ever will make in my life so in this case, hotlinking is more than justified. I wish I had a photographer there to take snapshots of my eye rolls. It would be peak journalistic coverage. I canât wait to put my Snark on to the page. This will be fun #WebDev #Journalism #Blogging #Technology
