For those not following the #UkraineWar
with three slow loud #drones, 600km from the front
where is the #airdefense?
it's the first time in history an a Su-57 was hit
the Sukhoi Su-57 is the most advanced fighter jet #Russia has, it's fifth generation. and Russia does not have a lot of them
damaged/ taken out (the photos are blurry) with what amounts to nothing more than a cessna packed with explosives
amazing

We're comfortably settled in, we can rest after a busy, fighting day!

Russia struggles to repel deep incursion by Ukraine.
"Reports suggest that Ukrainian troops are operating more than 10km (six miles) inside Russia - the deepest cross-border advance by Kyiv since Moscow launched a full-scale invasion in February 2022," according to BBC News.

The American #BuyMeACoffee payment platform sanctioned Ukrainian creators banning them from receiving money, because...
...their country got invaded.
"The cited reason appears to be "because Russia occupies 20% of your country"
It's really ridiculous how "global" payment platforms can hurt already vulnerable people because they don't want to deal with legal messes. Something @pluralistic mentioned multiple times in his writing.

Big boom
"State of Emergency Declared as Huge #Explosion Rocks #Russia’s Vladimir Region"
Vladimir Oblast is directly east of #Moscow
Lots of chatter as to cause (you can discard anything the #Russian govt says about it, or anything else really)
It was a very large explosion, probably larger than the 2020 Beirut Explosion
The depot was one of the largest warehouses in the Russian Federation: guided bombs, artillery shells, missiles, etc
All go boom

Reporter: "You clearly admire President Zelenskyy. So I'm wondering what you thought when you saw the treatment he received in the Oval Office on Friday?"
Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada:
"I think, first of all, it's important every chance we get to lay out the facts as clearly as possible. In 2014, Russia chose to invade Ukraine, to occupy Crimea and parts of Eastern Ukraine. For that, they were kicked out of the G7 and in 2022 they chose to violate the existing ceasefire and invaded Ukraine with the intention of taking Kyiv in three days and the entire country in three weeks. That has failed. Russia continues to try to fight to claim more land in Ukraine, and we could see an end to this war tomorrow if Russia decided to stop its illegal invasion of Ukraine. On Friday in the Oval Office, President Zelenskyy pointed out in so many words that Vladimir Putin is a liar and a criminal and cannot be trusted to keep his word in any way, shape or form, because he has demonstrated time and time again that he will break any agreements. I stand with Volodymyr Zelenskyy and I stand with the people of Ukraine."
Note that these simple historic facts which are public knowledge and can be looked up by anyone, are what were stated by Volodymyr Zelenskyy when Donald Trump responded with, "It is very disrespectful of you to litigate this in front of American media" (found about halfway through the meeting, if you're looking in the videos).
Trump was attempting to spread Putin's "alternate timeline" to the American people, and told Zelenskyy that it is "disrespectful" of him to tell historic truth about what happened in his own country, in front of live video cameras in the US. Think about that...
Donald Trump went absolutely livid when President Zelenskyy gave the American people a free history lesson on live tv, something which he knows his base would never read for themselves.
Too many corporate media outlets are putting out headlines that read, "'Very disrespectful', says Trump" without telling the truth of what he found disrespectful, which was (in his own words) to counter Russian propaganda in front of American media.

There was a #women's half-#marathon in #Kyiv #Ukraine earlier this month called the Kyiv Pink Run (everyone wears pink)
The runners unexpectedly intersected the funeral procession for a fallen warrior in Ukraine's #war against #ethnofascist #imperialism
And then this happened:
(the text in #Ukrainian at the end references their running friend Natalka Samoilenko, killed by Russia in #Bucha in 2022, they were running in her #memory: https://www.facebook.com/groups/fartlekua/posts/1302450504308834/ )
"Wow that #drone attack by #Ukraine on Russian bombers is amazing, #Russia is stung badly, Ukraine's efforts are herculean and that was very intricate long work. They can take a breather for a little b-"
"Ukraine Hits #CrimeanBridge for the Third Time—This Time Underwater
Ukraine’s Security Service (#SBU) has successfully carried out a months-long covert operation that struck the Crimean Bridge"
Russia, you are fucked
A stunning one-two punch
Incredible
Comment I saw yesterday about #Ukraine's #drones-popping-out-of-trucks brilliant attack on the bombers that have been mass murdering Ukrainian civilians for years (paraphrasing):
"#Russia is going to check every truck, and it will shut down their commerce. They don't even have the personnel for it, they will have to pull from other services, it will be destabilizing"
Video I just saw today:
Good call commenter
While #Russia bombs civilians, #Ukraine does this:
👀 👀
'An operation by Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) using first-person-view (FPV) drones smuggled deep into Russia and hidden inside trucks has hit 41 Russian heavy bombers at four airfields across the country...
The operation — codenamed "Web" and a year-and-a-half in the planning — appears to have dealt a major blow to the aircraft Moscow uses to launch long-range missile attacks on Ukraine's cities.'
Olga of Kyiv
circa 890 - 969
Had vengeance on the Drevlians for murdering her husband
She asked for a tribute of pigeons from their houses
The Drevlians complied, assuming her to be daft, they expected worse
Olga had sulfured bits of cloth tied to the birds' legs, and they returned home, setting their city Iskorosten on fire
I tell this story right now for... no reason, no reason at all
BTW, this is the tamer episode in the epic of her revenge
His name is #VasylMaliuk
The genius sabotage of #Russia's bomber fleet which was busy for years killing #Ukraine's civilians, was his op
"In total, 34% of strategic cruise missile carriers at the main Russian airfields were destroyed. This was not just a devastating blow to enemy aircraft but a serious slap in the face to the power and terrorist nature of the Russian Federation"
👏 👏 👏 Vasyl! 👏 👏 👏
A rather poignant commentary on #war and the #environment
Because of radio frequency jamming, fiber optic #drones are being used by #Russia and #Ukraine on the frontlines
They just spool the fiber out as they fly
Apparently some areas look like giant spider webs everywhere from the endless #drone flights
And #birds are now using the waste of war to make their nests
#Estonia is the world leader in support for #Ukraine as a function of GDP (4%)
#Norway and #Denmark come in second (3.3%)
But #Danmark just made the next leap
We have all heard about countries funding, or moving, defense manufacturing operations, to Ukraine
But now Denmark will host Ukrainian defense manufacturing operations in *Denmark*

"Meet Shrike.
This brave fighter rightly decided that Russian drones had no place on our (and his personal) territory, and attacked one of them.
Unfortunately, the iron was stronger than the live bird, and he suffered a fractured right shoulder.
Fortunately, our drone pilots on this section of the front, who witnessed the incident, did not leave their suddenly wild brother in trouble, immediately took him in, and..."
