I just like to be, want to be, on the beach.

Living inland, in farm country, I treasure the time I spend at the ocean -- the constant sound of the surf is mesmerizing, enticing, healing. There is a timelessness to the seascape that my soul needs, a reminder that this world is so much more than what flashes by on the screen.

Balboa Park Walkway

I recently spent a quite early morning exploring the architecture of Balboa Park in San Diego California.
I have always looked for symmetry in my images when possible and love repeating patterns so it turns out that this walkway off to the side of the Theatre Del Prado was exactly what I was looking for. Captured early to avoid the morning crowds.

The building you're looking at (The Lighthouse Building) is the Sugo Pasta Italian restaurant on the corner of Mitchell Lane, Glasgow, Scotland. Ross's Bar is to the side of it. With the Lighthouse neon sign below, the shot opened up perfectly. What's in a name?
