This article is talking about the UK press; I wonder if the results would be the same for the press here in the USA.
Note that The Guardian, which does such good work in many fields, is not good at all when it comes to trans issues.
Folks need to recognize how much transphobia is driving the debate over the girl dad in the women’s washroom.
People have been so conditioned to hate and fear trans people that they now see bathrooms as a “sacred space” such that they will endanger kids to prove a point.
This is where hate and division lead.
A few years ago no one would have thought twice about a man bringing his two young daughters into the women’s washroom.
But years of trans hatred and fear mongering mean people believe only “women” can access that space.
People think those two young girls should have been taken into the men’s washroom despite the fact they would have been exposed to male nudity and possible aggression.
The girl dad did the right thing.
Anyone saying otherwise is pushing a narrative.
If a man wants to hurt us, he doesn’t need an excuse to enter our washroom.
He will just force his way in.
This particular incident proved that.
The girl dad asked permission. He checked with an employee. He had a reason to be there.
The straight male aggressor did not.
He forced his way in.
Traumatized the two young girls.
Caused a scene.
Abused local police services.
He was the predator, and he chose to access a “women’s only space”.
Trans people are not the enemy.
Girl dads are not the enemy.
It’s a false flag.
I’ve been the victim of sexual assault and I can honestly say I’ve never feared a trans person.
I’ve been in washrooms with trans women, drag queens and girl dads…I’ve never feared for my safety.
Stop allowing political rhetoric to cause division.
We can be better than this.

Okay, let me be random for a second.
This being Fedi, I know there will be someone reading this who is a chronically depressed, poly disaster transfem always narrowly avoiding poverty by being a somewhat-but-not-really successful self-employed freelance web developer, who has strong opinions about the modern web, free software, the semantic web and structured data, and who kind-of-but-not-really mourns what XHTML could have been while actually thinking HTML5 as written is kinda neat, but who is constantly forced by Society (tm) to work with React, Wordpress and awful bloated web app frameworks to create terrible, non-semantic style-first web applications for ungrateful clients.
I can't guarantee anything but let's say, I know someone who needs a static website for their business. Hypothetically, uh, where could that someone reach out to you? Paid, of course.

It looks like #Albania is in the process of initiating official support of gender-affirming care, both for adults and minors. According to other reports, this is part of aligning health care with #EU and scientific standards. This is a great step forward for the #trans community there, though there is the usual opposition from the usual types. This news showed up on multiple web sites, so I think the story is legit.
I love #trans people, and I love trans culture.
Now I know I said the other month that there isn't "a trans community", there's many. And yeah that means there's not a single definitive trans culture either. There's many overlapping ones. But that's true generally. Cultures are blurry and fractal.
