The StoryGraph has changed it's review priorities, I wonder if it is because of the advent of LLMs.
Since it's inception The StoryGraph has emphasized its questioner as the preferred method of book review. Allowing it to categories its database according to easily measurable criteria instead of free text reviews.
The open text box was located at the bottom of the page and regarded as optional.
This week the text box and star rating where elevated to the top of the page and strongly emphasized
I speculate that this may have something to do with LLMs. For the StoryGraph who's stated goal is to give the best book reccomendations, the free text box is now more valuable as data than the traditional statistical model.
