Ok, so it's a screenshot from the Original Series and uffta. The setting is outside, and there's an old broken down block wall across part of the back that gives way to some dead trees and background flotsam. Also some large stone blocks and regular rocks just sittin' around. It's all overgrown with roots and nature. Standing up close is a woman, hands on hips all official like. She's got big green hair and a shiney silver future space bikini. You know it's a space bikini because it's just slightly different than a normal bikini. Next to her is Kirk, in black pants and no shirt. It looks like he has backpack on too, and across his chestal region are cut wounds that slash across and another that slashes downward at an angle. Both Kirk and the Lady Gaga green hair space bikini gal are wearing a weird collar. Closed caption reads, "OH."

This is an all white box with only words in it, a break from tradish today. It reads, “Idealistic “Start Trek Future we want to see” post today but not specifically a screenshot.

Putting out an ask because you all are an awesome community of smart and caring people. I do some work with an incredible nonprofit that serves the unhoused and those in deep poverty in the Twin Cities, MN. State and federal funding has changed a lot this past year and we’re expecting even more loss in these areas.

We’re in a campaign to raise funds to maintain hours, continue to serve, and be a resource and source of love and dignity for those our society tends to look away from. My ask is to consider giving $3.00, or $5.00, or more if you are fortunate to have it, to help those living on the edge of survival. TOS scene. We're in a cave that also has a wall and a far off door carved into it. It's a technicolored cave, lit in purples, reds, blues, and greens. I'm not entirely sure why, but someone was trippin' balls on set that day. Ok, so Kirk is hiding behind a corner up close to the camera, and further away in a different part of the technicolor dream cave is a swol and very tall bald alien. He looks menacing despite wearing a cream green long jacket over a weird flared collared shirt. Back to Kirk, he has a...hmm...so he's holding a large rock to use as a weapon, yeah that's it. It's an oddly long rock though, maybe baseball bat length but with way more girth. And it's pointing upward, with extra "rockage" near the base. (It looks like a dong.)

I was at DragonCon one year when Avery Brooks was on a panel, and a Black dude stood up and talked about how the year DS9 came on, he became the sole custodial guardian of his small son, and he was
"terrified* and felt helpless, because he hadn't really had a father himself, and he didn't really know any Black fathers he particularly wanted to emulate, and no Black single fathers at all. He talked about how every week he'd put his kid to bed and sit down and watch Deep Space Nine, and think to himself, "Okay, this, I want us to be this kind of father and son," and how, silly as it might sound, the Idea that Ben could be there for Jake, all the time, successfully, and ear his admiration and trust, was the only source he really had of inspiration, the only voice that was telling him he could handle this job.
I swear to fuck there was a whole auditorium of people in tears by the time he was done, including both him and Brooks, It was one of the most beautiful moments | ever saw about the sometimes bloodless-sounding term "representation," and about fandom in general, and I will never forget it.
