The AWS outage really showed how centralisation destroys the Internet. I still don't get how people feel Mastodon is too complicated for someone to switch to. Like people complain when things feel the same and then complain again things are different.
Either way, I hope people using signal have a better alternative as soon as possible. SimpleX is the closest but the performance in group chats is well questionable
