A photograph of a San Francisco street scene and graffiti mural featuring a big frosty the snowman character with black hat and carrot nose. His lack stick arms are holding a paint roller with light blue paint on it and it looks like he is trying to paint over the other artwork. The background is a deep blue and purple and there are other very color graffiti art/lettering on either side. Over the top of the wall mural we see the top of a white building with two small windows on either side that make it look like a face peeking over the fence at what is happening. Lots of layers of personality happening here. As far as the overall composition, there are some wires coming in diagonally from the top right corner and an angled roof in the left side that subtly help direct our view back to the main character the snowman. At the bottom on the left is some graffiti tags that possibly reads “NEWS RAW” and I like to pretend this is a caption to the scene… this is your correspondent Frosty with Raw News, coming to you from the streets of San Francisco. A photograph of a swirl of black geometric letter shapes swirling or floating in some white and light grey abstract cloud shapes outlined with very thin gold lines. It’s very bold and striking without saying anything specific, sort of like a Japanese tattoo art inspired alphabet soup. We’re standing at the edge of a very wide sidewalk looking at this art which has been painted as a giant mural on a storefront that has been boarded up. The building behind that forms a border around the piece is painted a dark black to complement the letter shapes. The grey sidewalk lines in the foreground help lead our gaze to the painted mural on the wall. As we look closer to the details, we notice the mural has been painted on giant sheets of plywood and there are cutouts for doors to get inside? And also a mail slot with the address numbers affixed above in gold retro-styles house numbers. Adding to the composition there are wide elegant shadows projecting across the image, adding a bit of depth and motion to the swirl. In the bottom right corner are what looks like two artist names; Aaron De La Cruz, and (possibly) Jet Martinez. The second is difficult to read because it is a script signature. But thanks to everyone involved in the creation, it’s a lovely vision.

A frog is peeking out of the water, hands resting on a lily pad. A higher lily pad shelters it from the soft rain, but a sunbeam seems to have made its way through the clouds, hitting the sad looking frog.
The frog is surrounded with blooming water lilies and many other plants, growing in and around the pond contained by red bricks and rocks, all dripping with water, as well as many critters such as snails, slugs and dragonflies. You can almost year the soft sound of rain.

An extremely close-up of a brilliant purple dahlia flower. The petals are curved inward toward the center, which produces some lovely curving shapes especially as it reflects the morning light. The texture on each petal is visible and adds extra motion and flow to the frenetic yet peaceful scene. It feels like waking from a long slumber, energetic for the day.
