这种短平快博客文章集合式纵向横跨各朝点评政治制度的通俗历史还蛮好读的，不爱读政治如我也看得津津有味。虽然能感觉一些部分作者主观叙事导向较强但整体这么看历史上的制度演化确实比在看通史大部头记叙事件中零散拼凑容易理解多了。好多段都不禁恍然大悟你们现代这些小伎俩原来是跟老祖宗学的。当然由于众所周知原因只写到清朝灭亡些许遗憾，以及每章都是单刀直入有代表性的切片，没有串联碰上不熟悉的朝代被直接点到可能会有点 out of context。 #reading

Just in case, like me, you're in need of something wholesome to start a new week: Betty's Reading Room by the dock in Tingwall, Orkney.
Apparently set up by a couple in memory of their late friend Betty Prictor - a place for folk to hang out while waiting for the Rousay ferry and really just the loveliest memorial I can imagine.
There were two fantastic things about that day.
The first was that she stumbled upon a new author she had never read before, and loved what was written.
The second was that she had an entire day to immerse herself in reading.

"Cutter's Deep" is my personal favorite but if you like creepy and unsettling horror, you really can't go wrong with any book or story from Ronald McGillvray. As far as I'm concerned, this is an empirical fact. 📚🙂👍

This time I read The Rainfall Market by You Yeong-Gwang. It was quite good! I loved all the characters and the different shops in the market! It was a very chill book with surprising action. I also appreciated the twists and turns at the end. I even teared up a little bit!
I give this book a 4.5 out of 5!
