因为 AI bubble 所以想仔细复习一下 dot com bubble 于是读了这本书。书是 2003 年出的，铺垫是从计算机发明开始讲的，还铺垫了 1980s - 2000s 超长大牛市的市场前提，有了知道后来发生了什么（911，Yahoo, AOL, Ebay, Amazon 后来的命运，以及再之后的互联网发展等）的 context 在看当时的视角和历史的螺旋还挺有意思的。也有少量的原因分析。但读完全书感觉 this could have been just the prologue，后面的每个公司和每年的时间线挑出来讲一遍真的有点流水账和 are we there yet 的感觉。不过重读一遍“遥远”的历史真的让人感叹，太阳底下无新事，以及人类真是不长记性。三星半

Stumbled across an interesting #reading challenge from the Boston Public Library—to read a book by an author from each of six geographic regions: Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Oceania.
