The Ramones' movie Rock & Roll High School opens in theaters. The title song becomes one of their classics, and the film gains a cult following.

My new Album! I've just dropped it!!
↓↓--- Deutsche Version below unten ---↓↓
After just 5 years - faster than any turtle moves (they can be fast you know!) - I come up with this new Fediverse inspired album:
die nmi! : TOTAL CLUB DESTRUCTION
Full of happy little dance tracks ranging from #Acid over #Disco, #Halftime, #Punk, #PopMusic, #Chiptunes and raw #Amiga home computer music. It may even contain #Bonkwave… or not - who knows? Nothing really serious, just a lil' mood raising sonic rocket 🚀.
For the following days #Basspistol will host this release exclusively - buy it there, and all the money goes to this kewl outernational music syndicate. Thanks btw. to @setto@txt.basspistol.org for handing this release better than any Pro would do (including MusicBrains entry and all!). We even discovered a #faircamp bug (will be filed) during the process (bug or not, @freebliss you are awesome!).
No need 2 buy it though, it's all #CreativeCommons CC-BY-SA / pay what you want.
Here: https://shop.basspistol.com/bpist-031/
Where was I? Ah, yes - it's Basspistol exclusive the next days, then another label, "Der Kleine Grüne Würfel", will chime in, 'cuz net labels are wrestling (!) to have me, so why not ;) (I am totally exaggerating here, never mind, I'm just happy).
@dlikdh does a marvelous job bringing the #netLabel and Creative Commons work force together, and the variety of releases on his cute label speaks for itself. Check it out (will be announced in time next week).
After that Mirlo and Bandcamp will follow. If you really want to support ME, Bandcamp would be the place, once the release is there (will be announced). And after that Deezer and other streaming flat rates but never Spotify. Never.
All the cooperations on the Album are coming from the #Fediverse - this album wouldn't have happen without and is heavily inspired by it - no kidding. So glad to be here with all of you!
It's also an honor to see that the new #Peertube exclusive series "Experts talk music" in it's very first issue will deal with my new album, and they are raving all over it, as far as I understand the German subtitles. Sooo coool!! Please watch those experts! ↓↓↓

Äh, ich mach's kurz. Mein Neues Album:
https://shop.basspistol.com/bpist-031/
Die kleine stimmungsaufhellende Tanzrakete 🚀! Kostenlos (wenn Ihr wollt!). Holt sie Euch!!
Aber hey, noch ein paar Grüße an die z.T. versteckt Mitmusizierenden / greets to the ones jamming with me here (mostly kinda hidden): bangskij@climatejustice.social (Mist is such a BANGER!), @jimbob, @stephan, @Posaunenschlumpf, @ClipHead (well, almost) - U all rock!!
Und wenn wahre Experten das Album besprechen, dann so:

Did you know that a certain percentage of people trying to get stoned actually change into a stone being - irreversible?
For more worrying doomer facts, don't hesitate to tune into a new very drug-free issue of…
RADIO IRRTUM!
--- ↓↓↓ Deutsch Version below unten ↓↓↓ ---
The next issue of #RadioIrrtum! will arrive this Saturday, 2026/08/29, 8:00pm UTC+2/Berlin time/CET. On Alex Berlin at DAB+ K12D in #Berlin/Brandenburg and worldwide @ https://www.alex-berlin.de/radio-livestream .
A German language #radioShow exploring the sonic vastness of the #underground. Emitted transmissions may raise attention for new unheard #music. Don't worry about the #GermanLanguage aspect - this is about #music!
This time we'll have...
- phunky live (recorded) NeoJazz
- sometimes quite tricky #Beatmaker stuff
- Brazilian 140s #Halftime #Bass
- Rough British Bass Beasts
- #LiquidDnB
- #Psychedelic Stoner #DoomMetal
- #BlackGaze #Doom
- #Hardcore
- several forms of #Punk
- and #Acappella #SurfMusic
I've got lots of electronic or sample based music within the last issues, a bit too much perhaps. So this time we'll have a cut: 50% will be electronic/sample based mostly - but the other half is completely handmade, with a surprising lot of pure dooooomy metal, 🤟 yes!
All that with lots of #CreativeCommons content, cuz music wants 2b free. Also many tracks played aren't on #Spotify - cannot bash 'em enough. And most important: We've got outstanding #FediArtists in it, like @stonedmedusa, @phantasmagorie or @armin . Thanks for making the Fediverse such a nice n cozy diverse space of culture!
I'll post playlist + manuscript later here. Having questions? I'll gladly answer. Just ask. CU all on Saturday! :)
And now: LET'S CHANGE INTO STONE!

#introduction time! My name is Matt, I'm new to veganism.social, but not new to the #Fediverse. I first joined in 2018 on a #mastodon instance that's probably gone by now. I've been leaving and coming back over the years due to health and life circumstances, but I've been consistently back on for a while.
Anyways, I'm an #opensource web developer (#php / #vue), #punk / #metal musician, #anarchist, #antifascist as hell, #feminist, #ally, and hater of #bigtech and what #ai is doing to our planet. Speaking of our planet, I am a #vegan for health and ethical reasons, but I am not going to be shitty towards people if they're not.
I'm in the process of building out my own little spot on the #indieweb / #smallweb so I can return to running my mouth on a blog.
If I followed you, it's probably because we have common interests, or I enjoy your brand of #shitposting. Or you've activated my inner-geek with #startrek and #videogames.
Anyways, thanks for reading all of this. I hope the attached picture of Marvin the Mushroom has brightened your feed in some way.
