Então tive que parar tudo para vir aqui comentar: será que estão reinventando a roda? O pessoal esqueceu que isso já existe desde os primórdios? Os moduladores-demoduladores (modem) por canais de voz faziam, no seu auge de popularidade, que os computadores trocassem cerca de 33 kb/s por áudio anaĺógico nas linhas discadas, o equivalente a 3 mil caracteres por segundo de texto. Desde muito antes até, nem narrador de futebol no rádio consegue falar, se muito, 100 caracteres por segundo, certo? Claro que isso até hoje seria muito mais eficiente do que todo o mecanismo de converter texto para voz e principalmente o inverso.
