Very much enjoyed this talk of Adnan Husein with Alana Lentin.

Lentin makes a good case that Zionism is where Western fascism and colonialism have been headed. Clarified a lot to me about the hasbara "the West is next" and the unconditional support of the West, and fascists, for Zionism. They talk about the move to self-indigenisation of Zionist Jews, how anti-colonial and anti-racism concepts are used to justify colonialism and racism, IIRC. Sounds like a very interesting book.

This film makes very clear what motivates Jewish pro-Palestinian people in the US to protest since even before genocidal war restarted on 2023-Oct-7, and their reasons are really the most simple, relatable form of peaceful humanitarianism that you will ever see anywhere. Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, a U.S. citizen, was 26. She was working with the same peace activism movement [International Solidarity Movement ISM] that Rachel Corrie belonged to. Corrie, also a U.S. citizen, was killed by an Israeli bulldozer in 2003 while trying to stop the demolition of a Palestinian home in Rafah.

Aysenur was taking part in a weekly demonstration in Beita against Israel’s occupation and settler dispossession of Palestinian land."
