A new list of “The 100 Best Novels” is out from The Guardian, it’s a list chosen by prominent authors, but they don’t say if they gave any criteria for what constitutes ‘best’, which is my pet peeve about these lists. What does best mean?
Anyway, the top 50 is about what you’d expect, but 50-100 is more unusual, with a lot more contemporary works, and some totally new authors to me.
