So, some years back, my hubby and I went to visit some of my family and friends back home, including my ex-bf and his wife. At some point, when the ex and I were alone, he asked me, "Do you ever wonder about what would have happened if we got married?" (We had been engaged, but broke it off.) I replied (without missing a beat), "Then I would be having this discussion with my first ex-husband right now." Ooooof! That shut him up though.
