y'all Cary turned OUT. This was just one side of a packed four-way intersection.
The car honking was almost continuous. People were flying flags out their sunroofs and had signs taped to their cars. Absolutely wild. #NoKings
I left the liberal Twin Cities and went to my super conservative, rural hometown to protest. I was not a paid protester but I did get a payday! #NoKings #FreedomOfSpeech
One protest down. On to the next one.
My sign elicited a variety of responses. Some were confused. Some were ashamed. Some were offended. Some were supportive and agreeable. So be it. We live in a country with a messy history and currently our "leaders" are making it messier. #NoKings
Spouse & I participated in today's #NoKings #OKC protest.
The core of it was a mock trial.
The defendant: Donald J. Trump.
He was present as a cardboard cutout.
The jury: We the People.
Witnesses detailed his crimes.
When called upon, we the People shouted the verdict: "GUILTY."
Rally leaders then dressed the cardboard defendant in an orange jumpsuit.
"LOCK HIM UP!"
Led by a younger woman with a guitar, we sang "This Land Is Your Land" by Woody Guthrie & "What's Up?" by 4 Non Blondes.

to all the fuckwads claiming #NoKings achieved nothing, then why have the numbers of mostly w̶h̶i̶t̶e̶ Real Americans™ more than doubled?
you know who’ve carried american “democracy” on our backs? African Americans, Latines, Native Americans, Asian Americans. the white folks protesting the past 50 years have been mostly LGBTQI & old hippies.
for a group averse to confrontation, white middle class Americans are one protest away from creating the history altering critical mass this country needs.
