夜の森で淡く輝くホタルの幼虫と謎物質たちを発見。
プレデターの血液かも!?

昨晩山に登ってきました。シイノトモシビタケ狙いでしたが、もう今シーズンは終わったのかも。今シーズンは1日撮影できただけでした。
…しかしどうも輝く物質を発見。木にくっつく白い塗料のようなものと、また別の所で落ちた樹皮のようなものが光っている。どちらも菌類なんだろうなと思いますが。
そして撮影が困難なのであまり撮影しないホタルの幼虫も撮ってみました。この投稿の全てに言える事ですがとても微かな光で、さらに幼虫は数ミリで動くので難しいのです。

Starting a thread on my recent visit to #PetrifiedForest #NationalPark.

For starters it was very windy as you can see in this photo.

This is a "drive thru" park with one long road going north-south. I entered the less used southern entrance, visited a nice little museum, and started my tour with the #CrystalForest trail.

Had a day off work to take my son to an interview in a village just south of Nottingham (UK). Had 3 hours to kill while he was doing his thing, so popped into Attenborough Nature Reserve (WLT) on a Grey old morning.

My amaryllis just bloomed. I've had it for 4 yrs now & this is only the 2nd yr it's bloomed. This variety is commonly called butterfly amaryllis and I just love the color/feathering 👍.

Today’s small moment - I’m always drawn to photographing garden paths, especially the ones that curve out of sight. There’s something comforting about them, like a quiet reminder that beauty can be found no matter which way we go.

Today’s small moment - one of my favorite photographs from Whitefish Point—even though the lighthouse is actually behind me. I’ve learned to always turn around during a shoot and see what else is there. This time, it was a lake freighter slowly appearing on the horizon.

I love beach scenes that include more than just water, sky, and sand. As in life, there are always extra layers waiting to be seen—if we take a moment to look.

Eastern Gray #Squirrel on our back fence. Very cold for them here this week, had a few nights go below freezing, more to come they say. I put out peanuts on our back fence feeders every morning, and there is a competition with the blue jays and woodpeckers and each other to snatch them up. They go quickly.
