Obsession operates on a level that few films do. It takes its central premise and twists it like a screw into your mind, leaving you reflecting on your own life and relationships.Similar to how the TV series Adolescence woke people up to how young boys have been impacted by social media and perpetuate violence against women, I think this is the kind of film that could help people realize they're in toxic relationships, or even wake someone up to the idea that they're perpetuating toxic behavior. And that really speaks to the power of the team that put this story together, not the least of which is the incredible performance by Inde Navarrette, but also an underappreciated part of the movie is the incredible cinematography from Taylor Clemons. There's images from the film that got burned into my retinas, like the black silhouette of Nikki standing outside Bear's door, with her eyes lit up.Truly incredible and terrifying movie. I want to see it again but also I never want to see it again. Make it make sense.

Famous actors having a great time acting out tropes, concluded by a strong shot of revenge. Tarantino let Polanski review the script so that he'd be okay with it. That's a pretty strong point against, in my book: someone who fled a child rape conviction shouldn't have creative control of their depiction.

Rated The Inventor: Out for Blood in Silicon Valley 4/10

Pretty mild: if you haven't read, heard, or watched anything about Theranos, it's probably pretty worthwhile. If you've read Bad Blood, skip it - there's not a lot more here, and the TV-documentary style is overbearing.
