Rated The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes 4/10
Really puzzling film, some parts are excellent, and there's some interesting narrative conceits, but then other times it's so hamfisted in crowbarring plot elements in, and it suffers from having a fundamentally unlikable main character. I mean, I get that's the point, but it doesn't make for particularly compelling viewing. Oh, and there's no way this needed to be two and a half hours long, the third act should have been a separate film, and I'm sorry, but those songs were shit. Same melody every time, with lyrics that just tell you what's going on in the plot. Down with this sort of thing.

I don't think I would have sought out this movie to see, but b/c it was the landmark $5 mystery movie I went in blind and without expectation and like, damn if this isn't cute. I'm not in a relationship, but I think if you *are* this is exactly the sort of movie you want to go on a date to, and its well made and well paced and not be that guy but they don't really make stuff like this anymore! Used to be you could just *go to the movies* and watch Owen Wilson Do Something and that was a date. This is like that. You know whats going to happen, but the gags in between the plot are inventive and fun, the stakes are exactly at date-level, and while it does kinda feel like a playlist of funny vignettes these *are* actors acting. this is not the proverbial hallmark movie. But if you want to neck you're not gonna miss like, crucial plot clues.Also *everyone* is in it its a real fun pointing at the screen movie

J'apprécie de plus en plus Tom Hollande. C'est un bonheur de le voir tout donner avec Spidey, on sent que depuis le début c'est son rêve de gamin et il s'y investi à fond ! J'avais pas d'attente spéciale pour Brand New Day et j'ai adoré ! Le meilleur des 4 films du MCU pour ma part, plein de belles idées et de plans chouettes. Le cast est toujours aussi chouette, l'histoire était prenante. J'ai pas vu les 2h passer.
