Plough marks in the empty rice paddies on either side of a road have been highlighted by snow which is starting to stick. The road however, is wet. Gaggles of umbrellard school children are making their way home tracing the curve of the road as it stretches towards the horizon. Behind them and nearest the viewer is a T-junction, thin plastic bollards marking the edge of the road and a pedestrian crossing.
