My 6yr old got her glasses last week and she needs to wear them at all times. They're pink andcute and she looks adorable. She also loves to wear fun cardigans with her outfits, she calls them her "comfort cardi's".
Today the librarian told her she looks like the cutest librarian she'd eveer seen. Her reply?

Science Fiction at its best takes an existing element of our world or invents a new one and explores the possible Repercussions.

In many cases the new phenomena / technology's effect is ramped up to extreme degrees for dramatic effect.

Memes, viral ideas and their effect on the human psyche are definitely part of the 2020s zeitgeist. Imagining creatures / beings that have weaponized them, makes for a very current sci-fi novel.

We get a spy thriller with a twist even more complicated than time travel. Solving the complexity of fighting a war under such conditions is the driving force. It is hard to follow but the war gives every action and reaction a direction. Helping the reader to reacquire the thread even if they get confused along the way.

Even though mind control has been done in the past, There Is No Antimemetics Division, feels like something fresh and new in the sci-fi landscape.
