I have drawn eyes, a big open toothy mouth, upturned arms and wee legs as if it's jumping on to the lichen ball. It started off as a happy thing, then started to look a bit fierce, so it could be read either way, but I think the overriding impression is RARRRRR!

Fuzzy mounds of half frozen mosses crown a grey stump.

Crystals of pale ice cling to and highlight the edges of a few pale leaves, silhouetted against the darker leaves below them.

Tube-like lichens, some sporting pale blooms, climb the side of an old stump. Tons of life in one little spot.

Shaggy, frozen mosses drape along the edge of a large stone, a few smaller ones in the background sport similar fronds.
