Legs Inn of Cross Village

Legs in brings back many memories for me. Almost all of them from an age of youth. I turned legal back in 1977 and Legs Inn at that time was a great place to spend a Friday evening drinking, and dancing with friends.
One of the great things about going out to Legs Inn was the journey through the tunnel of trees along Lake Michigan on M119.

The roofline is jagged and whimsical, like driftwood shaped by time, with carved wooden “legs” adorning the eaves—quirky, almost playful, like a folk art sculpture.
The sky above is soft and open, perhaps tinged with the golden light of late afternoon. Surrounding the inn are tall trees, their leaves whispering in the wind, and beyond them, the vast blue of Lake Michigan peeks through, hinting at the journey along the famed Tunnel of Trees that led you here.
