They blew the whole budget on techno & cheesy CGI, leaving nothing for screenwriting.

wants to watch Code of Silence
#KungFuSat
Legit stream in MX:
Jan 2026: only Vix, i.e. dubbed into Spanish
finished watching Code of Silence πππππ
Why have Chuck Norris in a movie and NOT have him Chuck Norris the hell out of the baddies??? There was ONE punch in the 1st hour, and ONE actual fight scene in the last half-hour.

Legit stream in MX:
Jan 2026: Prime (careful, there are two versions, one is dubbed)
finished watching The 36th Chamber of Shaolin πππππ
Absolute classic of kung fu movies by Lau Karleung, starring Gordon Liu & Lo Lieh.
First watched in the 90s, rewatched ahead of #KungFuSat watch party on Mastodon showing the loose sequel Disciples of the 36th Chamber.
Legit stream (as of Dec 2025):

finished watching Disciples of the 36th Chamber πππππ
A bit more comic than the first film, and focused more on Fong Saiyuk (Hsiao Ho) than San Te (Gordon Liu).

This weekend #KungFuSat hosts a dubbed Taiwanese swordfest
THE LAST DUEL (1981)
aka DARK SKINNED ASSASSIN, aka HERO VS. HERO - per the 4 poster pics below
Saturday, 12/21/24 - 12pm Noon ET
Everyone welcome!
The synopsis sounds deliriously deranged (or normal -- if you watch these things regularly, like us):
Death Villa is run by a mysterious man who wears a cane basket on his head, with a bead curtain covering his face. He recruits Lu into his evil scheme....
Despite the misleading title and false YT thumbnail, this week's dubbed, CGI and epic battle-filled martial arts extravaganza is actually LEGENDARY AMAZONS (2011), and not the Shaw Brothers movie we've watched previously on KFS.
Join #KungFuSat this weekend (Saturday, 2/15/25 - 12 noon ET) after recovering from any Valentine Day sticker shock.
You think YOU'RE cranky? These women were all widowed by the same battle, and I'm thinking they are out for some payback:
