I learned this morning of the passing of Akira Toriyama, the father of Dragon Ball, Dr. Slump, designer of Dragon Quest, Chrono Trigger. Also, probably the artist who influenced me the most when I started drawing. Here is an old fan art I drew of Arale. My heart is really heavy this morning...

A visual test for font, the character (a cute dragonish warrior with pink hair) says: Thank you For your feedback on
my previous post. I forked 'Patrick Hand' and used it to customize my own font called deevadhand.
It should be easily readable.
Except if I mumble in a 14px size font, or worst in a 12px size font, hi hi.
Then, the page list specifications of both fonts, with an alphabet.

Morning routine

Panel 1: Pepper sleeps in a cozy bed, her haircut is clumsy, she is slightly irritated. It's early morning. She is surrounded with spell books, an alarm clock, carrot is also on the bed.
> SoundFx (alarm): Ring! Ring! Ring!

Panel 2: Pepper walks in the stairs like a zombie in her nightdress. A gentle cloud of flavor guide her.

Panel 3. Still foggy, she is ready jumps on a DIY wooden hook of a swimming pool, many books are arranged under to make it like a stair. The smell comes clearly underneath her.

Panel 4. She barely floats face downward, on a huge cup of coffee. Carrot watches surprised on the top of the plank.

A webcomic in four panels (no speech bubble)

Panel 1: In a cave containing a treasure with a lot of gold, a young adventurer is chased by a monster: a treasure with big teeth. She drops all the gold items she had on her escape.

Panel 2: While climbing a mountain of bones and skulls to reach the exit of the cave, the adventurer throws a bone to the monster. It is startled.

Panel 3: Like a brave dog, the monster returns the bone to the adventurer, happy to start over. The adventurer has a think about it.

Panel 4: Later, in a city, the adventurer walks proudly and happily with her new "dog" (the monster's treasure) on a leash. This one is a happy one.

A webcomic in four panels:

Panel 1. A battle is raging between a ferocious dragon and a warrior with a magic sword in flames. The scene takes place in a dense pine forest, in the golden light of a late afternoon, before dusk.

Panel 2. Close-up of the sword in battle, blocking an attack from the dragon's claws. But the warrior's face is suddenly distracted: his sword is speaking a message!
> Sword: We've got an update for you. **Installing!**
> Warrior: Eeeek!

Panel 3. The warrior steps away from the battle, looking to his sword in panic. It is surrounded by rays of magic coming from a distance. They illuminate the scene in blue. The dragon doesn't immediately understand the situation, he is fascinated by this event.
> Sword: 80% ... 90%...
> Warrior: No no no no no!

Panel 4. The warrior looks at the result with tears in his eyes: his sword is broken. The blade now lies on the ground, unusable. His fate is sealed. The dragon understands that he has won, he gets a fierce red look in his eyes and prepares a fireball in his smiling mouth. The sword continues to speak, the text is distorted.
> Sword: Update Completed. Enjoy!

A webcomic in four panels:

Panel 1: A very young knight, poorly equipped (oversized pants, topless, wooden sword and shield, rusty helmet), screams with overconfidence in front of a cave on a foggy night.
> Knight: Master of Dragons! I challenge you to a duel, against ME, the greatest knight the kingdom has ever known!!! My knowledge of fencing is unrivaled!!!

Panel 2: The dragon walks calmly out of the cave, only the large nose is visible while his head is still in shadow. Not a fierce look, but a massive size. He is just tired of this kind of interruption. The knight continues:
> Knight: You're terrified, aren't you?! well, you should be! I'm terrifying! Show Yourself!!! Coward!!!

Panel 3: The camera shows an oversized dragon, the knight is the size of a mosquito, attacking his toenails. The dragon just look at the situation with thinking. And an epic full moon illuminates the scene.
> Knight: Hyah! Hyah!
> Partner of the dragon (off panel, from the cave): Honey, who is that?

Panel 4: A close-up of the dragon, turning his head towards the cave to answer his partner:
> Master of Dragons: It's no one. As usual: an overconfident newbie, victim of overestimating his own abilities. A classic bias in human nature.

A wordless webcomic in four panels:

Case 1: A warrior descends the steps of a Colimasson staircase. She passes a strange room made of brick and stone, typical of dungeons. We see her in the frame of an arched doorway, surprised by what she sees: in the foreground, exotic green leaves and vines indicate that the room is infested with a carnivorous plant. Also in the foreground is the silhouette of a victim.

Case 2: Contre champs: She arrives, alarmed, with the help of a young adventurer whose head is completely trapped by a large bulbous flower.

Case 3: As she prepares to cut the vines with her sword, she is surprised: the captive's hands beckon her to stop!

Case 4: Wide shot: The flower releases the head of her victim: she's a young elf with a beautiful haircut and a perfect blow-dry. She looks at herself in a small portable mirror. The healer is stunned.

Panel 1: A small fairy with brown hair and ordinary transparent wings (a bit like a dragonfly, but less beautiful) sees a proud fairy, beautiful, with colorful butterfly wings. She's ecstatic at the sight.

Panel 2: Later at home, in front of her mirror, as the sun sets, our fairy looks at herself and her wings, depressed.

Panel 3: At night, she lies down on her bed in a phoetal position, crying.

Panel 4: The next day, on the bed, same shot, but instead of the fairy a huge silk cocoon. It's morning light, and the sun rays are shining on it. This panel is full of hope and announces a future metamorphosis.

Panel 2: A young butterfly with black wings emerges from the cocoon. She sits up, still partially covered in silk threads. A little lost, she touches her face.

Panel 3: She looks at herself in the mirror, disappointed and saddened by her large, dark wings: she holds a colored pencil drawing of the wings she wishes she had.

Panel 4: When she steps outside, not so sure of herself, she is surprised to find that her unique appearance has fascinated a young fairy whose wings are still small.

Many characters are sitting on a branch over a small pond, in nature. The branch bends under the weight of the giant Mastodon mascot. On his head, Carrot is fishing, but only gets a flower. Near him, the mascot of Misskey Ai-chan (a young Japanese student dressed in a school uniform and with cat hears) is fishing: she has caught the mascot of Peertube, an octopus. Pepper the witch is sitting in the middle of the branch, amused by the scene, and on the left, Pleroma-tan (a fox girl in a dark Japanese dress, with a fox tail) is also amused by the scene. Under the branch hangs the mascot of Gotosocial, a sloth.
