kdrama
A respectable complaint and/or a true criticism of an alternate reality fiction revolves around internal consistency and plausibility.
Demanding historical accuracy in alternate reality fiction—or any fiction for that matter—defeats the purpose of #fiction.
If you want historical accuracy in fiction—especially in the alternate reality genre—go watch documentaries or read an encylopedia.

Since November / December 2025, the prevailing theme in Kdramaland is law and the Korean social issues. This is one reason why #Kdrama is popular, they still produce and tackle real life issues which deeply resonates with the global audience too.

Koreans in South Korea are so worried that the global audience might get a distorted view that Korea is a vassal state because of 《Perfect Crown》.The global viewers didn't know about the significance of the chant & number of strings until they mentioned it. 🤷🏽#Kdrama #PerfectCrown
I'm 38% through my #Storygraph book goal (78) for the year & 51% through my pages goal (20K) but STILL haven't got into my growing PTW of #kDrama #cDrama and #jDrama because I'm finding stuff like this just FAR too riveting to put down. #Reading #bookstodon #linguistics

Speaking of drama actor quests....
"Melo Movie" is a great drama for me to accomplish multiple quests.
From the "Melo Movie" cast I'm currently on quests for:
-- Choi Woo Shik (Parasite fame, friend of Park Hyung Sik)
-- Park Bo Young (Strong Woman & so many more, co-star of Park Hyung Sik)
-- Lee Jun Young (It seems like he's getting more serious working with well-knows actors in this & his next project)
-- Kim Jae Wook ("Her Private Life" & "Crazy Love" so far)
********
I think I may add these actors to my quests
-- Jeon So Nee (starred opposite Park Hyung Sik in "Our Blooming Youth")
-- Cha Woo Min (This is the 1st I've seen him, but he'll be in "Buried Hearts" later this month with Park Hyung Sik)
PS: Park Hyung Sik was one of my early quests.
Let's use 《Perfect Crown》 as an example.I. Wrong chant and number of stringsI agree with this not because of "historical accuracy", which is invalid in an ALTERNATE REALITY fiction, rather because there is no internal consistency and plausibility. Why?#PerfectCrown #Kdrama @kdrama.atmo.garden@bsky.brid.gy

A hilarious part of #kdrama is how everyone loudly blurts out their secrets while people are standing around a corner eavesdropping. There's probably an internet analogy there.

May 3, Gwangju and area. Visited a traditional market and ate a feast before visiting the bamboo forest. The 245 Building contained 245 bullets from a military sharpshooter who shot from a helicopter. History of the Gwangju Uprising has been carefully preserved and documented. The movement by university students and ordinary people resulted in loss of life and the origins of democracy in Korea.
The #kdrama Youth of May shows the movement.
It’s a holiday weekend. Crowds everywhere
been meaning to watch this #kdrama for the title
you had me at "cabbage your life" #kdrama
I’m on a #kdrama pilgrimage today, visiting the noodle shop from Nevertheless and most importantly, the railway crossing from #MyMister, a leading character in the show. This is a super cute and trendy area with upscale cafés and restaurants side by side with very old and tiny houses and businesses.

[!!CW!! Synopsis & non-spoilery review.]
Incheon Airport's passenger service team has an enthusiastic, new employee & a stand-offish colleague who have to learn to get along. Great cast with Chae Soo Bin (When the Phone Rings) & Lee Je Hoon (Art of Negotiation) bringing great emotion to a plot that requires suspending disbelief (do they not know how magnets work?).
Something nefarious is happening with an executive, who happens to have a past with the ML. Unfortunately, the mystery, & back story lack details. But the relationships keep it interesting, with a couple of slow romances, & some people on the team learning their value. Seeing behind the scenes of the airport is fun. There is some character development even if the story seems lost at times. It's one of those that had potential & lost it.

Unfortunately on Prime, but I'm very happy for Park Min-young. "The Confidence Man" comes out in 2025.
"The Confidence Man KR is the first Korean drama selected to launch Amazon Prime Video's lineup of Korean originals. Until now, Korean dramas on the platform were featured on a separate Korean drama section, not as part of its lineup of originals.
High Ground stated, "Park Min Young's lead role in an Amazon original drama marks a milestone not only in her career but also in the history of K-content."
