it's fun but distracting when they show a #kdrama within a #kdrama and I keep trying to think what #kdrama that is

I just got a $127 check from the Viki lawsuit (I think that's for sharing data with facebook), so fifteen years of #kdrama viewing has paid off!

@allkpop Is the first #Kpop & #Kdrama news site I saw which enabled #Fediverse Threads.

This is beneficial to the Fediverse network because Kpop and Kdrama related accounts are one of the most sought after in social media or SNS, which, let's be honest, pretty much lacking in the Fediverse. (Many of them easily embraced the ATmosphere network instead.)

Ironically, the 2025 #Kdrama «Tempest» («Polaris» in Korea) is about North Korea's largest nuclear submarine in the world and the US is hell-bent on finding & destroying it, while South Korea is stuck in the middle.IRL, South Korea is the one planning to build it with help from the USA.

great short documentary: How Netflix ruined Kdramas forever

They talk about the addictive KDrama formula and the brutal working hours of the industry. And how Netflix is ruining an already strained industry.

*** City Hunter (2011) ***
(YouTube 20 1:05 eps)

[!!CW!! Synopsis & non-spoilery review.]

Revenge on the 5 corrupt men who caused a tragedy wreaks havoc on innocent people. A boy has been trained his whole life to exact revenge & now has a position at the Blue House in IT security.

This could be called the drama of horrible fathers. An action series, but unusual for good character development. There's law & then there's justice. The prosecutor, Lee Jun Hyuk, does a fabulous job of showing his frustration with the system, the corruption & his own feelings of guilt. Lee Min Ho is excellent as he realizes that what he's believed all his life may not be what it seems.

The open ending wasn't satisfying, but the rest of it was still worth watching. Very little romance. FL's character could have been written better, but she's a side story. Enough twists make it exciting.

watching While You Were Sleeping, the #kdrama not the Sandra Bullock movie

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/While_You_Were_Sleeping_(2017_TV_series)

Started Ca$hero (eps 1) with my Sunday watchparty group today. Very interesting premise:

A man has super-strength, but it costs him money every time he uses it. He's in a position where he's desperate for money right now, so he has to decide if he'll help someone with his power or not. It is already making me think about how much it costs to be righteous.

Netflix is on a roll. I can't keep up with all their #Kdrama and #Cdrama releases. Pfft.If they're not on a roll, they're dropping all episodes instead.

one thing that always drives me crazy in #kdrama is the ridiculously incompetent and corrupt law enforcement but I get it now

I've been rewatching the entire #TheWitch #마녀 franchise (Part 1, Part 2, Tyrant) looking for clues, and wow, a lot of clues were missed by a lot of fans and bloggers.I'll publish my findings once I find a way to present it, there's too many "new" information.#Kdrama #Kmovie #드라마 #영화

This> Modern audiences have a major problem with flawed characters behaving in flawed ways. And that's applicable to #Kdrama as well. In Kdramaland, we call them kids/late GenZ/GenAlpha (literally usually).
