We are making good progress with refactoring Instagram Import to support archives of any age.
The reason we had to temporarily disable it is because Instagram has been purposely changing the schema of exports to make it more difficult for us to process.
We are leveraging some clever techniques to determine the schema for every archive, and look forward to shipping this early next week!
We added our Vivaldi Social server to the Fediverse on November 15th 2022. We are still, I believe, the only browser company that is fully behind the Fediverse. It is something we are very proud of! The Fediverse is the natural alternative to Big Tech social media, just like, IMHO, Vivaldi is the natural alternative to Big Tech browsers.

Je suis toujours à la recherche de #modèles #photographie pour shooting #portrait sur #Paris. C’est gratuit, je fais ça par pur hobby et je demande juste l’autorisation de poster les photos sur Internet. Je ne veux pas recourir à #Instagram pour le recrutement même si ce serait bien plus facile.
J’ai + d’affinité avec les modèles féminins, mais je ne suis pas fermé. Mon concept est simple : on se ballade dans Paris en discutant, on fait connaissance, et j’appuie le déclencheur de temps à autre. Parfois je dirige un peu si j’ai une idée qui pop.

Yesterday, *they* forced one of the world’s most followed #TikTok and #Instagram users (#KhabyLame) to self deport because he flew into Vegas for an event, and his Italian visa was expired by 2 days. So they denied entrance, and gave him the option to immediately self deport. He did.
The kids (under 25) are LIVID. The reaction is intense. Moreso than the reaction to LA. This is going to be the issue that wakes them up to how severe the situation really is.

So, my @youronly.one.ofcl account was suspended because I logged-in to #Instagram side and added a verification code to an older selfie upload. Now I no longer have access to the large #Filipino #Threads community.
This is the second time already, the first was my original account `youronly.one` and no one from Instagram assisted even after I went through their Face Verification process thrice.
Anyone who can lend assistance to get my `youronly.one.ofcl` account reinstated and have it placed in some whitelist so their automation scripts are not hitting it with false positives? I rarely login to the Instagram side because I don't need it, the only reason I have it is because Threads originally required an Instagram account.
Browsing Mastodon in a Instagram-like interface feels very different. I kinda like it. Gonna keep on working on this UI. 😊

New, by me: A number of high-profile and/or valuable Instagram accounts, including those of the Obama White House and the Chief Master Sergeant for the U.S. Space Force, got hacked and defaced with pro-Iran messaging in the past 24h after people figured out that Meta's AI support assistant could be tricked into resetting account passwords.
From the story:
"A video released on Telegram by pro-Iran hackers claimed to document a remarkably simple exploit that appears to have involved using a VPN connection with an IP address that is in or near the target's usual hometown, requesting a password reset for the account, and then choosing to chat with Meta's AI support assistant. From there, the video shows the attacker told the bot to link the account in question to a new email address, after which the bot dutifully sent that address a one-time code that allowed a password reset."

I have not ever been associated with that person on Insta / Facebook / or any other Meta property in any way
Is Dan Clancy (Twitch) / Jeff Bezos (Amazon -- Twitch owner) selling off email lists to #Zuckerberg / Instagram?

And not by any means the first time this has happened, either...

After 13 yrs on Twitter, @bikemonterey stopped posting on that platform in Nov 2022.
We are also no longer posting on Meta platforms.—We do have a @bikemonterey Instagram account, but it refers people to this Mastodon account. (BTW, if you do Meta, you’ll likely relate to screenshot below.)
Although we set up a @bikemonterey BlueSky acct, it likewise refers to this Mastodon acct.

I thought at first the meta pervert glasses were a continuous connection, only to realize now that you need the meta AI app in order to export.
