I started tabling at convention and sold my art for the first time
I made a poster for a documentary
I opened an online print shop!
I completed a massive worldbuilding project for Inktober
Passed 1,000+ followers on Fediverse, more than I ever got anywhere
Published 9 new blog posts in addition to 48 newsletter entries (and if you’re subscribed you know that I yap a lot haha)
I went to Japan
Got engaged :)

There have been some fails along the way, but this could have been worse! Next year I will focus on making better art and to share it better with you guys!

I’m optimistic about the future and I want to spread this feeling around ❤️

I wish you all a wonderful 2026!

#WordWeavers What are beauty standards like in your world?

While Ethereal is a diverse Realm, with many cultures that each have a sense of beauty, no one understands what attracts Cedric and Freya to Sabre. He's striking but born halfway into the shadows and, at times, looks more like a creepy spectre than a person, so it's funny to Freya and Cedric to publicly, theatrically swoon for Sabre whenever he's being his disconcerting broody self.

Happy New Year 2026! Wishing you a year of springtime inspiration, and magical encounters.

A digital painting illustration that is not particularly detailed. It features large brushstrokes and depicts a landscape with many trees in blossom. A gothic sorceress is silhouetted as she crosses a portal with her Avian Intelligence parrot. On the other side, they meet a golden dragon. The entire scene is made up of large letters forming the number 2026.

A wide green meadow under a blue sky. The meadow is dotted with small white and yellow flowers. There's a blurry gray treeline in the distance. In the foreground, hovering in the air, is a very precise hole in the sky, or maybe in existence itself: a portal that reveals a starry night sky beyond. Hanging down from the sky, attached to something unseen, is a small green exit sign: the green European kind, with a small running figure, and an arrow pointing to the hole. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".

An eerie scene: a blurry gray landscape with a crooked road; a stormy sky filled with heavy fluorescent green clouds; and a greenish-white lighting bolt jumping from one side of the sky to the other. Balanced on the lightning bolt is a tightrope walker, walking along the lightning, holding a long balancing pole. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".

A bizarre object hovers above the rocky ground in a dull blue-green nether world. The object is dark blue, and looks like an asteroid made of rock and industrial garbage. It has craggy qualities, punctuated with holes, pipes, glowing green lights, and several antennae. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".

Can you believe it has already been 10 years since Bowie left us?

Thank you for the music, and the permission to dress differently.

A tall, craggy, oblong boulder stands on a small hill at sunset. The sky is pink, with yellow at the horizon. The boulder has a dark purplish color to it. On its darker side are fixed four googly eyes, the kind one would find at a crafts store. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".

A strange, misshapen object hangs in a dark space, suspended by several thin cables from something unseen. The object is somewhere between artificial, geological, and organic: looks sort of like an asteroid but with softer curves, as well as vents and pipes sticking out of it. It has two chimneys, both of them emitting smoke. On the left is an arched window, glowing green. The object is mostly dark, but is lit green from the underside, with iridescent shades of indigo. Below is a diffuse glowing green light. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman."

A person sits at a small table on the edge of a rocky cliff. The front of the cliff face is illuminated reddish, and the sky is pink on the horizon. Across from the person, on the other end of the table, is a puppet: a white ghost, manipulated by some very large, offscreen entity. The person and the ghost are playing chess. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".

Late afternoon in a city. The sky and surrounding environment are golden yellow, with tinges of blue. In the background are a few blue skyscrapers. A person with a traffic light for a head stands on a curb next to a round blue sign with a bus icon on it. The person is wearing a dark coat. The orange bulb on the person's traffic light face is lit. Next to the person is a small paper shopping bag. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".
