This week's #NewBooks at the library: I bought used copies at very sharp prices of Biology and #Evolution of #Crocodylians from Comstock Publishing Associates, and Imperial Nature: #JosephHooker and the Practices of Victorian Science from the University of Chicago Press, and adopted a damaged copy of @bugmanjones's Shieldbugs from HarperCollins.

Thanks to UT herpetologist Tom Devitt, last week I was able to photograph the unusual Texas Cliff Chirping Frog (Eleutherodactylus), which passes through the tadpole stage within the egg, hatching as a fully-formed frog.
