Let's do this!
I'll build my personal daily-driver #HaikuOS R1 beta 5 system on-stream using an AMD "Trinity" APU that we last checked out a little over a month ago.

Asking the #HaikuOS hive mind:
Is there a preferred way to mount network fileshares in Haiku? Preferably directly in Tracker?
I'm protocol-agnostic. Instead, I'd like the most user-friendly / integrated / Be-like experience.
Thanks!
Update on haikuports
Iceweasel got a unofficial port and opens up a new web experience for Haiku.
KDE frameworks KF6 6.9.0 have been released to the Haiku public. Gear24 updates in progress.
Some packages got a revision bump to fix linking/building with ssl3.
One of our Haiku users is fixing tokio-rust for Haiku. Build is fine and test I've ran so far look promising.
RobinHood, an old time (native/basic) webserver, has seen some TLC and has been updated to the publc.
@3dEyes never seize to amaze us on his great work at porting on Haiku, check out this amazing video where he demonstrates a 3D printing experience on Haiku. This guy rocks!

📢 The UK Online Safety Act claims another victim: Haiku OS community forums
From March 2025, UK users will lose access to Haiku's forums due to the unsustainable legal requirements of the new Online Safety Act. Small open-source communities shouldn't have to choose between legal risks and serving their users.

Bumping our php version on Haiku, first 8.1.9 was fixed for building kuserfeedback on 32bit, then came 8.1.31 to be followed by 8.3.17, now checking build on 32bit for 8.4.4, 64bit was already done and checked. Looking good :)
Checking in browser +1 :)
It's out! r2dec-js a decompiler plugin for radare2 (version 5.9.8) was just released, I already did a recipe to build it on Haiku, but finished this up and merged it at haikuports. You can now use this in Terminal or in the Iaito application.

GCompris 25.0 released for Haiku, major changes here due to the switch to Qt6 (had to update our ports for qml_box2d for this to also support Qt6).
Enjoy!
Trying to keep up with KDenlive versions on Haiku, checking out latest release (did a version bump for mlt after seeing a pointer for it on the KDE forum). Doesn't look all that bad. :)
Playing around with KDE's kde-builder tool on Haiku, after the first attempts things look pretty good in shape.
For those interested, I've wrote down some steps on how to set this up for haiku at:

Upstream information (lots of additional required information can be found there):

Meanwhile Kcalc and Konsole (and their required frameworks build). :)

Having native applications for Haiku would be the best thing making use of it's full potential, in the meantime it's nice to be able to show that we "can" use ported software to fill the gaps! 👍
