明快打字机的前世今生 
我一定要造一部打字机，使我可以真正的打字

今天突然看到何同学在YouTube上2025年10月14日发布的视频，这个视频其实在2023年就看过了，在今天又遇见，仿佛在看一个全新的视频一样。
我找到了明快打字机的专利网站：patents.google.com
三级滚筒系统
大油桶上装着6个中滚筒，每个中滚筒装着6个小滚筒，就如图3所示（图三、图四）
每个小滚筒有八面
每面上又有20个字模（图5），而明快是29个字模（图6明确数出来了确实是29）
所以明快可以打出668*29=8352个字模
魔眼装置
要打“呼”字，先打“口”再打“竖钩”，然后就会到小滚筒的某一节上，前面说了每个小滚筒有八面，所以一般有八个有“口”有“竖钩”的汉字，（所以我觉得6629*8=8352更符合直觉）这使用了林语堂自己发明的”上下型检字法“（图8）
我觉得更奇妙的是还有个预览滚筒（图7）
大滚筒上处于打印位置的八个字；
就是预览滚筒上被放大的八个字；
然后按键盘下的”87651234“8个按键中的一个，就可以选择正确的字。
声旁+形旁
8352个字模里，有7000左右是可以直接打出来的，剩下的是偏旁（70声旁+1300个形旁）
比如情，通过打声旁”竖心旁“和形旁”青“
所以这样就可以很轻松的通过组合打出字！甚至可以打出生僻字，自创汉字！
猜, 睛, 精, 倩, 清, 请, 晴, 情，等等等等
所以经过简单排列组合就是70X1300=91000个字

这台打字机能够打9万个字，解决了汉字数量多的问题。它通过三级滚筒结构和上下行检字法实现。(视频中期主题）

按照reddit的说法：
这台打字机是纳尔逊·费利克斯在他妻子祖父家的地下室里发现的，他首先将其发布到了一个 Facebook 群组中。
明快打字机是第一台使用键盘的中文打字机。它由林语堂发明，于1947年5月22日首次生产。它是当时速度最快的中文打字机，熟练的打字员平均每分钟可以打出约50个字，即使是未经训练的用户也能达到每分钟20个字的速度。
林德森委托卡尔·E·克鲁姆公司制造了一台定制原型机。在研发过程中，他背负了巨额债务，最终未能将打字机商业化。1948 年，默根塔勒·林诺打字机公司从林德森手中买下了这款打字机的专利权。该公司也收购了那台原型机，据说后来将其丢弃了。

I host my own Phanpy but there's a feature in dev (automatically populate alt-text if it's embedded in images, yessss!!!) I really want. So, I finally setup a build container for @phanpy and a small script to extract out the static folder so I can continue serving it out via Caddy. I wrote a quick post about it, I'm sure there are better and more idiomatic ways of doing this, so advice is welcome.

Ghost devs should talk to the @gotosocial devs about optimizations. My server (running on a small $8/mo Hetzner instance) barely uses any memory (less than 1GB) and doesn’t break a sweat when the wonderful @lisamelton (33k followers) boosts one of my posts.

在简中互联网，能下载到国际版wps也蛮厉害了，你能有Google帐户和tz也蛮厉害了，但是谷歌登录不上和你使用什么邮箱注册没关系的，特别是你只是登陆wps而不是chatgpt、Claude。

现在的Google注册已经不是以前那么容易注册的了，对你的ip纯净度，浏览器语言cookies，地理位置都有着很高的要求，不然就是不给过，还可能收不到验证码。
pdf确实是固定格式，pdf出来就是为了便于分享而不是便于修改，那是markdown或者docx的事情
当然不知道这些操作很正常，谁也不是出生就知道一切的，人一生都在学习的路上。 
主要是这种混乱的描述和反差很难不让人难绷。
当然大学这种比赛对我来说就是大奋

Hello everyone!
As we do every year, we're taking some time off for the holidays.
This year, the #GoToSocial maintainer holiday period will last from December 19th up to and including January 4th, so we'll be back in action on January 5th.
What this means:
We will make our matrix chat (general, help, and code channels) read-only.
We will disable our issue tracker on Codeberg so that we don't have to worry about tracking + triaging issues.1
We may do little bits of work if we feel like it, but we won't be reviewing any pull requests from others.2
We will be absolutely chilling our tits off and doing fun stuff with friends, family, lovers, and whatnot.
We're looking forward to recharging our batteries over the holidays, and coming back in January ready to kick some ass!

with the squerge of the account / statuses policies side effects pull request, the domain limit stuff for #GoToSocial is now more or less finished, and if you're running a snapshot you can try it out :)

Essentially, when it comes to a limited domain you can do stuff like:
reject all media (attachments, emojis, avatars, headers)
mark media as sensitive
mute all accounts by default, much like Mastodon and other softwares allow
force a content warning to be added to posts
set a follows policy so that follows from limited domains are forced to manual approval, rejected, or rejected UNLESS they're "follow-backs"
set it up so that posts get a "hide" or "warn" filter applied by default
Importantly, the mute/silence and filter adding options don't apply to accounts you follow. So if you mute a domain, you can still follow accounts from that domain and see their posts just fine.
With all these options, this should give GtS admins a lot more control over federation with shitty instances, beyond just domain blocking them completely.
Aside from already being available to snapshot users, the feature will be in v0.21.0, which we'll likely release shortly after the new year :)

Today is a really special day - it marks the one year anniversary of the installation/setup of this #GoToSocial instance 🎂
For its first few days I kept the account private, doing tests with @stereo (my self-hosting support buddy - THANK YOU!)... and I only published its first public post on January 1st 2025.
I have nothing but great things to say about @gotosocial – I LOVE everything about it. A huge thank you to its developers - keep up the amazing work!

I noticed #fedicat wasn’t highlighting lisp in #gotosocial code blocks but the textual rendering library has simple instructions for adding recognized code block info strings, in this case lisp, scheme, and clojure

Looking for testers for a new Mastodon TUI.
tooi is a re-implementation of the TUI included with toot, using a more modern framework which is easier to work with. It supports most features `toot tui` does, and some new ones too.
tooi is set to replace `toot tui` which has proven to be troublesome to support and extend.
#GoToSocial: it's basically sort of fine-ish; it's not the worst; it's sort of okay depending on what you need it to do
Phanpy and GoToSocial is a killer combination.
GoToSocial has some great privacy controls, but has no front end by default. https://gotosocial.org
Phanpy, the alternative Mastodon web client, looks really sleek. https://phanpy.social
And it seems pretty easy to run them side by side.
i don't know how the @gotosocial folks manage it so consistently, but they have again enabled me to not touch my instance for like nine months, decide out of the blue to yolo a major upgrade, and walk away from the whole thing an hour later, unscathed and posting.
There's so much that can happen in just two months.

Release highlights:
Status edit support: one of our most-requested features! You can now edit your own statuses, and see instance edit history from other accounts too (if your instance has them stored).
Push notifications: probably the second most-requested feature! GoToSocial can now send push notifications to clients via their configured push providers.
You may need to uninstall / reinstall client applications, or log out and back in again, for this feature to work. (And if you're using Tusky, make sure you've got ntfy installed).
Global instance css customization: admins can now apply custom CSS across their entire instance via the settings panel.
Domain permission subscriptions: it's now possible to configure your instance to subscribe to CSV, JSON, or plaintext lists of domain permissions.
Each night, your instance will fetch and automatically create domain permissions (or permission drafts) based on what it finds in a subscribed list.
See the domain permission subscription documentation for more information.
Trusted-proxies helper: instances with improperly configured trusted-proxies settings will now show a warning on the homepage, so admins can make sure their instance is configured correctly.
Better outbox sorting: messages from GoToSocial are now delivered more quickly to people you mention, so conversations across instances should feel snappier.
Log in button: there's now a login button in the top right of the instance homepage, which leads to a helpful page about clients, with a link to the settings panel. Should make things less confusing for new users!
Granular stats controls: with the instance-stats-mode setting, admins can now choose if and how their instance serves stats via the nodeinfo endpoints. Existing behavior from v0.17.0 is the default.
Maintenance router will now be used while your instance is starting up / running migrations. It serves a nice status page informing visitors to wait while migrations complete. Less admin anxiety! Stuff is working!
