gerrymandering
Update on #Utah's court case against the #utgop's gerrymandering.
@sltrib had an article today announcing the judgement will be released Monday, August 25.
So 🤞🙏 that the court decides the people get to pick their representatives instead of the reverse. I'd especially love if they're forced to choose one of three four maps drawn by the independent committee we paid for.

Oh, wow!
Good news!
#Utah legislature gerrymandered us with the 2020 maps and have 30 days to draw new maps!

So, so gross (but not surprising): Republicans are trying to pretend that the latest ruling in the #Utah #gerrymandering case are judges trying to set district boundaries instead of what it really is: judges telling the legislature that they cannot ignore the clearly-expressed (through a ballot initiative that passed) will of the people of the state

If you're an American born after 1969, you've never lived under a liberal-leaning U.S. Supreme Court.
If Hillary Clinton had been elected in 2016, that could have changed.
The U.S. could be much different.
Roe would still be the law of the land.
Justice and equality could move forward, not backward.
The Supreme Court, and federal courts, are reason enough to vote for Democrats.
