We are witnessing a picture-perfect example of a moral panic.
A few brave Singaporeans unfurled this banner in front of the iconic Marina Bay Sands, in a country where any public protest is illegal without prior approval and approved protests are only allowed at one park (and the authorities already said all registered protest applications relating to Gaza will be denied)
If they were foreigners they would almost certainly be deported. As citizens they’ll definitely see some legal action

New York City police have arrested more than 100 people protesting Israel’s war in Gaza on the campus of Columbia University. A student group called Columbia University Apartheid Divest set up an encampment on Wednesday to protest the school’s “continued financial investment in corporations that profit from Israeli apartheid.” University President Minouche Shafik warned demonstrators that they were not allowed to set up tents and occupy the grounds before police started forcibly removing them. For Democrats, it seems that voter turnout and election budget conflicts with each other, and leaning towards one might hurt another.

It is unbearable to think what the remaining hostages and their families have been going through all this time. Netanyahu does not care about the hostages. Just as he does not care about people in #Gaza.

Water is in desperately short supply, not just for drinking but sanitation. In Rafah there is approximately one toilet for every 850 people. The situation is four times worse for showers. That is, around one shower for every 3,500 people.
A military offensive in Rafah will be catastrophic because it is a city of children – some 600,000 of them.
As pro-Palestinian #protests continued to escalate across the country, ofcls & students at #BrownUniversity set a rare example on Tues: They made a deal.
Demonstrators agreed to dismantle their encampment at #Brown, which had been removed by Tues evening, & university leaders said they would discuss, & later vote on, divesting funds from companies connected to the #IDF campaign in #Gaza.
