When people are raised with certain expectations, to some those expectations not being met seems to justify victimhood. Even when they're the bad guy.

For "Ozploitation", it was less exploitation, more a taut little thriller!

Still scarily relevant. Perhaps even more so now as we approach the technological capability & many men don't seem any more accepting of women as real people with their own minds.

Reminds me of the old Russian joke. Two old friends bump into each other in December. One asks: "How was your year?" The other replies. "So-so. Worse than last year, but better than the next!"

This entry in the Jaws franchise was definitely not as good as the 1st one, but will better than the ones to come! :D

Rewatched (for the first time in decades) in "Jaws July" in the #FridayThrillerClub watch party on Mastodon.

finished watching Jaws: The Revenge 🌕🌑🌑🌑🌑
Weird telepathic curse shark film with baffling ending (depending on which edit you see), & Michael Caine

finished watching Jaws 3-D 🌕🌗🌑🌑🌑
Not great, poor pacing & plenty of "gratuitous 3D shots".

Rewatched in the #FridayThrillerClub watch party for the 1st time since seeing it in 3D in the cinema in 1983/84

finished watching Cruel Jaws 🌕🌑🌑🌑🌑
A terrible film which at least gets so terrible in the last act as to be funny!
