@molly0xfff is one of the most thoughtful and prolific writers on the internet right now. Post after post filled with deeply informed observations, critiques and insights. I know most people who are helping to shape the future of the web follow Molly already but just in case you aren't, you should.
followfriday
You can now follow @Flipboard's editorial accounts in the fediverse. These are carefully curated by human editors from quality sources. If you'd rather follow just specific types of content from each desk — for example, basketball but not tennis from our Sports Desk, or health but not wellness from the Health Desk, just follow Magazines (curated feeds of topical content). To do this, add the handle for the account into the search bar (for example, @ElectionCentral) and you'll see all the Magazines that account is currently updating.
@ElectionCentral — Politics coverage, mainly focused on the U.S.
@health — News and features about health, wellness and self-care.
@science — Space, climate change, ecology, research news and more.
@tech — Coverage of subjects like cybersecurity, AI, social media, health technology, gear, and the tech industry.
@theculturedesk — What you need to know about movies, music, books, pop culture and parenting.
@thenewsdesk — Top headlines in news, tech, business, sports, entertainment and more.
@thesportsdesk — The latest in everything from basketball to golf, with a particular focus on U.S. sports.

M’yello. I am giving Mastodon another shot. So here’s another #introduction :
I am a #TwitterRefugee from The Great Migration.
I love humor, jokes and funny toots.
I love to read. Mostly horror and thriller.
I love art doodling and music.
Also, not that it defines my life, but I am just now embracing my #ADHD and how it affects my daily existence.
A year can go by in a flash. And that’s certainly how I feel as @Flipboard marks the first birthday of our Mastodon editorial desks. We tentatively dipped our toes into the water, not sure what to expect. What we quickly discovered was a smart, engaged community of people truly curious about our world for all its virtues and faults.
We instantly observed far more replies, favorites and boosts than we ever saw on X (Twitter) even though we had many more followers there. By November, we abandoned X to focus on Mastodon and a few other platforms.
When we launched our Mastodon accounts, we had no idea that Flipboard itself would federate, which is a work in progress. In recent months, we’ve federated our editorial curation from the app, greatly expanding your options to follow the topics you’re most interested in, such as news, politics, sports, entertainment, etc. And we’re in the process of federating publisher Flipboard accounts so that you can follow their topical Magazines. Already, you can find accounts such as Smithsonian Magazine, Euronews, Frommers, CBS Sports and SPIN.
Thank you for all of your feedback and support. If you like our work, please boost this post and help us grow our audience.

Mastodon Starter Pack for #FollowFriday
I feel like I could list about 100 people here, but this is a STARTER PACK so I’m listing two of my absolute favorites.
@RickiTarr
Just a funny, genuine, and insightful person who asks thoughtful questions that bring the people of mastodon together.
@lisamelton
Lisa has done the hard work for all of us by reading through a ridiculous amount of posts and boosting the best ones. She's the real MVP of Mastodon.
We’re baaaaaack! After a hiatus due to vacation, we’re resuming our regular #NewstodonFriday thread. In case you’ve forgotten, its purpose is to highlight the work of newsrooms that are active in the fediverse. Please boost the posts you like, follow the profiles you discover, donate money, comment, and let us know about other newsrooms and journos that we should feature.
