Windows through windows at #Manchester Piccadilly station.

A modern tower block through a Victorian railway station window.

The station is built of brick: red brick below the window, white faced bricks to the sides and above. Immediately around the window, which is arched, is a pattern of different brick colours. The glass is held in the window with thin decorative ironwork.

Beyond, the modern tower block has strips of windows across each floor. Some of the panes are covered in blue or yellow plastic.

Ein symbolisches Ensemble: Oben ist der Palast von Aiete in Donostia/San Sebastián zu sehen, heute Zentrum des Friedens und der Menschenrechte (früher die Sommerresidenz von Franco 🤢). Darunter - sozusagen als Basis unter dem Rasen und hinter der grossen, bunten Fensterfront - ist die Bibliothek des Kulturzentrums von Aiete untergebracht. Wissen und Bildung ist die Basis von Versöhnung und Frieden - so lese ich die gestalterische Botschaft. Das ist wunderschön anzusehen. #Fensterfreitag

Unter einem blauen Himmel ist ein herrschaftliches, weisses und neoklassizistisches Gebäude zu sehen. Darunter, unter dem Rasen, eine bunte Fensterfront in Blau- und Grüntönen. Es scheint so, dass sich die beiden Gebäude in einem gründ bewachsenen Park mit Fusswegen befinden.

A moody (or possibly spooky) photo of a San Francisco single family, non-attached home taken just after dusk. The warm, inviting, yellow interior lights are glowing from the expansive classic bay windows in the upstairs which nicely contrast against a lavender-to-deep-purple gradient sky. In the top left corner the moon and a few stars are shining, and as if to echo the theme, there is a round bright security light lit in the driveway, partially illuminating the garage door and walkway. Most of the adjacent buildings are also in shadows except for one neighbor window lit a complimentary color of orange.

A photo of a beautiful mural on the western side of the Bernal Heights Public Library in San Francisco. The artwork features two hands with different skin tones clasped in embrace and sun rays emanating from behind them. Surrounding the hand graphic are different people including some prominent ones in indigenous headgear along with graphics of waves and Mayan-style temples, people raising their arms up in celebration, some birds, and hills and planets (including the earth). Very epic, but all painted in a sort of sepia-tone so it elegantly matches. Underneath the scene, a tree of life has been painted holding it all up. And the entire scene fades to a pixelated grid of texture that is just so lovely. This is all painted to fit within the architectural details of the library, including windows and doors. In the foreground is a garden of green, white, and purple flowering plants. It is a very colorful and inspiring scene.

A timeless black and white photograph of a landscape, as seen through a wooden window structure. This was taken along the running trail at Merced Lake in San Francisco. The window structure is the remnants of a large city sign/poster that has been removed, leaving a wooden box that nicely frames the gorgeous lake and serene landscape in the background. The wooden frame is inset so you can see the landscape extending out on every side of the image which reminds us that everything has a continuing story and to look beyond the edges and truly explore.
