Do the social web a solid and follow @bsky.brid.gy. That bridges your Mastodon or other Fediverse account to Bluesky, requiring nothing of you otherwise.

You'll be able to interact with posts bridged from Bluesky.

And, when those of us with a bridged account repost something of yours, it can show up in the Fediverse and be reposted from there.

If you later find you want to undo the bridge, block the above account and that's that. Easy-peasy.

new year update on what I'm using: #phanpy and #pl-fe as desktop clients, my own #fedicat and a bit of #IceCubes on iOS, hosting this and other official accounts on #mastohost, account on iosdev.space is super useful for ios dev, random posting on universeodon.com (basically where I started in the #fediverse, in retrospect I would have picked something with a shorter domain), love using #neodb and #bookwyrm, and thanks to all the admins out their hosting my test accounts!

I've improved federation support for Lemmy and other servers that support FEP-1b12 Group Federation.

I had to increase the number of available file descriptors on my personal server 4x because of the resultant inbound volume of ActivityPub activities! I liked a federated post and DOSed my server.

Last night, I interviewed the final steering committee candidate.

And just like that—it’s official. We now have seven incredible people (plus me) who’ve come together to co-organize this co-op.

Every single person brings something unique—skills, experience, heart—and it honestly feels like we’re assembling a dream team.

This moment is a turning point. We’re no longer just talking about starting a co-op. We are one in the making. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be shaping our mission, vision, and bylaws—the foundation for what will eventually become a fully incorporated BC co-operative.

It’s wild to think how far this idea has come in just two weeks. And we’re only getting started.

A fun chart.

For the numbers that are used for this graph, I grabbed the post count and known instances count from this endpoint on my #GoToSocial instance via a daily cron job. I have been doing this since I brought up https://mookiesplace.com -- I did this for my previous instances too, but never posted about it.

It's fun to see how my instance federates over time and to see how much I post over time. There are a few significant bumps in known instances, those happened when I posted something that got boosted / liked a bunch over a short period of time (ie. after I catch the eye of @lisamelton).

My instance is knows about 60% of the #Fediverse.
