The Summer of 2024 was Jack and Gus' last. They were old men, 17 and 15, best friends, each fragile in their own way.
Thought to myself, "These are the good old days," and heaped love and affection on "the boys." ❤️

JACK is a 2-year old Australian Cattle Dog I met today at the PLOW FESTIVAL at Darnell Farms.
Watched this pup suss his surroundings, the thousand people (half children) milling about and smells from nearby food trucks—mind grinding a million rpm a minute. ❤️
At the Festival today CINNAMON and GINGER's human stopped their pram for every admirer to fawn over these Yorkies. ❤️

OLIVE is a Heeler puppy, adopted by her two Moms.
A fortuitous meeting. Olive's humans are now friends and offered to "introduce" me to queer Bryson City and their community. ❤️

Peeked in the flower shop fridge tonight at Ingles and zoomed in on a dozen, gorgeous, pink roses, past perfection, in decay. Beautiful. ❤️
