that PERSONAL JESUS ad is everything that is wrong with American #evangelism aka #christofascism.
it uses the smash hit from Depeche Mode’s album VIOLATOR; and if you know anything about the band, you know KINK and most specifically SADOMASOCHISM were their bread and butter.
sure enough, refreshed my memory about this song and it was inspired by Priscilla Presley’s “Elvis & Me”.
