I think large social networks should verify users. It's like getting a driver's licence. If you don't want to verify your identity, you can, but you won't see content from unverified individuals and your content won't be visible to others.
The only problem is implementation. We need a system that chooses what data to transfer (name and age) and how.

In 2023, the EU saw a 1% decrease in road fatalities, with 20,400 lives lost – a 10% drop since 2019, but still an unacceptable number.
This is not enough to reach our target. We need to bring this number down to 11,400 by 2030 and to zero by 2050.
While we see some positive developments in some EU countries, we need more efforts on all levels to make our roads safer for everyone.
Today, we found that X should not be designated as a core platform service under the Digital Markets Act.
We concluded that X does not qualify given that our investigation revealed that X is not an important gateway for business users to reach end users.
We will continue to monitor the developments in the market concerning this service should any substantial changes arise.

Following a coordinated investigation at the European level, we are calling on Apple to stop geo-blocking practices on Apple Media Services.
Their limitations unlawfully discriminate against European consumers based on their residence, including online access, payment methods and downloading.
Apple has one month to reply to the CPC Network’s findings and propose commitments on addressing them.
🎫 Hotels, car rental companies, and other travel service providers relying on Booking.com can begin enjoying new opportunities.
As of today, the online intermediation service must comply with all relevant obligations of the Digital Markets Act.
This means EU businesses can be free to differentiate prices and conditions on any online sales channel they wish to use.
