We are feeling really good this morning.
My cup of coffee is perfect.
Summer is warm, soft and so, so sweet.
I count on this cuddle to get me going and she never lets me down.
Summer says she needs me, too. Awe.
Today, we need all of the gumption we can muster to clean up and mow our front acre before the rains come.
Summer assures me we've got this.
Yesterday, we found out that we are approved for a grant to earthquake retrofit our foundation. I think I found a contractor to do it, fingers crossed. When you live in the middle of nowhere the friend, of a friend, connection might be the best one to have.
On top of that I found someone to fix our furnace and get us winter ready.
Summer says we make a great team.
I told her that I would be on her team any day.

1/2 LEROY is from Bradenton, FL. He's 9 and was rescued by his human a couple years ago.
Two weeks ago, they got the heartbreaking news that Leroy is a short-timer. It's his heart. When Mom found out, they drove up to the Mountains to stay with her Mom and give this Pocket Bully the best possible life in the time he has left. He loves to run, especially in the woods.

I didn't know that labs were lap dogs when we got Summer.
Now I know.
As soon as I sit in the recliner here she comes.
She loves being up close and personal.
Today I have lots on my plate.
Our deck construction is down to the finishing touches. My job will be taking the nails out of the boards from the old deck and loading the boards on a trailer so the wood can be recycled.
I am feeling thankful for my husband's strong recovery from his hospital stay and his six pound weight gain. Feeling thankful for the good friends who built our replacement deck. Thankful for a sweet Summer who dispenses love by the bucketfuls.

JACK is a 2-year old Australian Cattle Dog I met today at the PLOW FESTIVAL at Darnell Farms.
Watched this pup suss his surroundings, the thousand people (half children) milling about and smells from nearby food trucks—mind grinding a million rpm a minute. ❤️
At the Festival today CINNAMON and GINGER's human stopped their pram for every admirer to fawn over these Yorkies. ❤️
