1/3 ANGUS had a queue of admirers when I spotted him on a bench near the train depot. Humans Ava and Ted of Durham NC were gracious, and obviously proud of their two year-old English Bulldog.
When the dust cleared, I approached: "May I take a picture of your dog for my blog?" Beaming, both: "Sureofcourse!" ❤️
This is Betty. She's about 4 and lives near Bryson City. ❤️
CHUCK, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, is a 4-year-old service dog who lives with their human in Bryson City. ❤️
OTIS is an American Dachshund from Savannah, GA. He's 13 and goes wherever his elder humans go. Beloved. ❤️
1/2 LEROY is from Bradenton, FL. He's 9 and was rescued by his human a couple years ago.
Two weeks ago, they got the heartbreaking news that Leroy is a short-timer. It's his heart. When Mom found out, they drove up to the Mountains to stay with her Mom and give this Pocket Bully the best possible life in the time he has left. He loves to run, especially in the woods.
"We just hope he makes it to Christmas." 🥹
JACK is a 2-year old Australian Cattle Dog I met today at the PLOW FESTIVAL at Darnell Farms.
Watched this pup suss his surroundings, the thousand people (half children) milling about and smells from nearby food trucks—mind grinding a million rpm a minute. ❤️
At the Festival today CINNAMON and GINGER's human stopped their pram for every admirer to fawn over these Yorkies. ❤️
This is Lacey, an emotional support animal from Florida. She's 18 months old and a total Mama's girl. ❤️
OLIVE is a Heeler puppy, adopted by her two Moms.
A fortuitous meeting. Olive's humans are now friends and offered to "introduce" me to queer Bryson City and their community. ❤️
