Hello again, World! An #Introduction

I'm JBQ, 50-ish, he/him, French-born, currently moving from Spokane, WA, USA to Preveza, Greece.

I have worked on operating systems, browsers, SDKs, and similar tech, mostly for mobile. Most visibly, I managed the Open-Source aspects of Android from 2009 (1.6) to 2013 (4.3).

I am currently active in the Atari ST #OpenSource #DemoScene, as Djaybee from the MegaBuSTers.

My strongest languages are C and assembly (especially 68k). I've touched many more.

So shout outs to @sonicwalker, @h0ffman who was kind enough to let me have a (I think) #exclusive version (!) of one of his latest tracks, and especially to @rktic, like H0ffman an absolute Demoscene legend, who granted me the absolute pleasure of a deep diving interview about a lot of aspects of making music (right) with him.

I will post a link to the almost 40 min running #interview I've enhanced into #multimedial dimensions (no kidding – was more work than anticipated, but also fun) alongside the show within this threat here, when the time is right. It also has English subtitles (only here with editorial remarks).

And then there is that educational section about sex, witches and #ringModulation. Just saying. I mean - it's almost 2 min long, complete with music examples - where can you get secret knowledge about the inner works of the universe in under 2 min? Yes - at Radio Irrtum!

I wonder about using "failscene" to describe the current slate of AI tools and demos. In contrast with the demoscene, which is about getting very low powered computers to do cool things you wouldn't expect them to be able to do, the failscene is about getting very high powered computers to fail at doing boring things we already know how to do without them. Plus you can stylize it fAIlscene if you're inclined to.
