Taylor Swift has fulsomely endorsed Kamala Harris on Instagram, describing her as "a steady-handed, gifted leader," making clear that she plans to vote for her in the forthcoming U.S. election, and signing off as a Childless Cat Lady. "I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos. I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate Tim Walz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF and a woman's right to her own body for decades," she continued, ending her post with a reminder to followers that they should register to vote. PREDICTION
Trolls will be out in force on social media following Trump's colossal embarrassment last night at the hands of a smart, capable Black woman. They were already popping up in my feed here, purporting to be from all over the world, picking, picking away at what they want to pretend is bad journalism (when it exposes Trump) and at Western liberal arrogance — and on and on.
My advice: don't take their bait.

Harris dominated Trump in #debate
#KamalaHarris, who was under pressure to define herself…, did so less by outlining her policy positions, though she did some of that, & more by being vigorous & unrelenting in attacking #Trump. She played prosecutor from start to finish. She called him a threat to the future of the country….She portrayed him as obsessed w/himself rather than the people he seeks to serve. She detailed his #criminal convictions & #indictments against him.

Trump was up by 1.1 points in 538’s average the day after the Biden debate. Harris is up by 2.8 this morning.
We won’t see a dozen stories every day about Republicans freaking out or a zillion polls showing voters questioning Trump’s fitness for office.
This will be about the size of it.
