Noticing a lot more coughing people on trains in #Japan recently too. Bet it's surging here too #Covid #covid19 https://www.nationthailand.com/health-wellness/40050177
covid19
An entire article about the rise of strokes among younger people between 2020 and 2022--a 14.6% increase of strokes among people aged 18 to 44--and not a single mention of the HUNDREDS of studies that show every #COVID19 infection increases the risks of strokes, embolism, and other cardiovascular risks.
We can ignore COVID, but it is not ignoring us.

It's likely a long way from hitting the market--assuming it would even be approved in the US--but a French company has successfully tested a nasal vaccine that blocks transmission of #COVID19. It involves two nasal immunizations delivered three weeks apart
I've been warning you that a summer surge of #COVID19 is imminent. Saying that doesn't require ESP or analysis--we've had summer surges of COVID infections for years, and last year's summer surge was worse than our winter.
But, we're beginning to get some idea of the new COVID variants that may cause this surge. A lot of media attention has fixated on NB.1.8.1 (nicknamed "Nimbus" in the COVID-aware community). (1/4)

Three measles deaths in the US in 2025: HEADLINES!
15,840 #COVID19 deaths thus far in the US in 2025: 🦗 🦗 🦗
Make it make sense.
I'll continue to share data to keep people informed about #COVID19, but the COVID-cautious community is getting exhausting. Someone attacked others for "abandoning caution." I'm sorry, but adjusting behaviors based on risks is the smart thing to do. We all have different social and psychological needs, and tightening or loosening caution is what we should be doing versus demanding an all or nothing COVID care.
Let me ask you this: Do you never drive because accidents can occur? (1/2)
Children face significant lifelong health risks because adults can't be bothered to care about #COVID19. A new study finds that "Despite milder clinical respiratory symptoms, children’s metabolic disturbances mirrored those seen in severe adult COVID-19 patients, indicating a shared inflammatory response to SARS-CoV-2. This suggests potential long-term health impacts." 1/5 https://www.sciencedirect.com/org/science/article/pii/S1535390725002276
The history of "pandemic" is one of human messiness. But there's an all-new WHO term in town: "Pandemic Emergency". And it comes with a definition!
Could this be the path out of the #COVID19 pandemic? Does anyone still care?
My latest long read.
