Someone asked if everyone’s tortoiseshell cats were also gluttonous heathens
I replied that I was convinced Mila lived till 19.5 years because she wasn’t done eating. She loved everything. Arugula. Spinach. All proteins. Potato. She would fight you for bread, get her head stuck in a yogurt container if she could. I miss her face.
On the day we said goodbye to her, she ate nonstop all day until it was time to go.

one I’ve since put out of reach, because all my best guesses say the shamrock-like greenery is harmful to cats.
Don’t worry – I’ve cut away all the wild growth, and put the pot where she can’t get to it.
It looks like clover, but I don’t think it is … it has little seed pods that explode when you touch them (!) and a few tiny yellow flowers open every now and then.
Any guesses what it is?
She was told to ‘go sit in her bed quietly’ (after screaming nonstop for snacks).

Ollie just shredded my daughter’s leg because she had the audacity of not checking the top of the refrigerator before opening the door.
He regrets nothing.
Tennessee comes bounding into the office to join me now — as though it's no big deal, not something he refused to do for three and a half years. He meows to demand cuddles, head butts and treats.
I love this little guy so darn much.
