Bridalveil Falls

Bridalveil falls is usually the first major waterfall that most visitors see as they enter Yosemite Valley. A very common image of this fall is taken from the Tunnel View parking lot up on highway 41. I have a number of images captured from Tunnel View as it's a very beautiful overlook.
This image was taken from across the Merced River during the spring time.

Bridalveil Falls

This is an image of Bridalveil Falls located in Yosemite National Park in California. Captured from across the Merced River in Yosemite Valley gives you a chance to get a close view without getting soaked.
In the foreground are the tops of the trees that grow in the valley, ,ostly Douglas Firs and Cedars.
The falls drops roughly 800 feet from the cliff edge above. As the water hits the base it throws up a large mist plume seen at the lower part of the image.
The waterfall is framed on both sides with shear granite cliffs.
